  • Re: Is sewing frugal?

Quite often a store like Joann's will put patterns on sale for a$1.00 or some very low price, compared to the envelope price. That is when you buy patterns, because otherwise they are horribly expensive. Like was mentioned, find some very easy basic styles and then use your imagination to make those...

  • Re: A question for those who have made cloth napkins

I have made cloth napkins for my family. The best material and my favorite material for cloth napkins, dish rags, and dish towels is homespun. Homespun fabric can be purchased at Wal-Mart for $2.00 a yard, sometimes $1.00 a yard if on the sale table. Most of the homepsun fabric is dark colored plaid...

Great Way to Recycle Those Unused Buttons! Ever wonder what to do with the "stuff" that is left-over when you finish an art project. • Walmart Fabric

Hi everyone. I live in Bergen Cunty, NJ. I love to sew. I was just getting really into it when Walmart decided to discontinue fabric. Whats more, Rag Shop is no longer with us. I stocked up on Walmart's dollar fabric before they got rid of it. I am in the process of building a list of new sources...
