  • Got my first Gardening Catalog for Spring

    It seems really early but I already got one gardening catalog from Gurneys. Seems like they use to arrive the first week of Jan. Guess they are hoping for early orders. Im not ready to think of seed orders til after Christmas. Recenty, have you had seed catalogs show up in your mailbox? Babs

    Saturday, my Walgreens had seeds 3 for $1.00. They had cherry tomatoes, cukes, zuchinni, pumpkins, cabbage, sunflowers, zinnas, bunching onions. some flowers mixtures.   • Have you started any seed yet?

    Has anyone started any seeds indoors? Today, I planted brocoli, cabbage, cukes and 2 kinds of tomatos. I have the grow light set up. These were older seeds so I wanted to get a jump start to see if they are going to sprout. Post if you have any plans to starts some seeds. Babs

    Another great source for fresh seeds is http://dollarseed.com/catalog/ They purchase their seeds from major seed suppliers in bulk, then repackage them in reseable ziplock packaging. Each year they start out with fresh seeds, and donate the leftovers to pantry growers to help feed the hungry. The best...
