I know some drying method by air only but cindy use to dry fish make venision jery smoked fish and saucages to preserve the meat also the salt pork to keep it around abit I don't know how much she remembers that is what she did. Im interested in new ways that is alittle easier and nothing spoils...

I found Golden Harvest canning lids at Dollar General. They were $1,25 a dozen. This was the regular size lids. Mine didnt have the wide mouth lids. I bought 20 dozen. I used these last year with no problems. Just wanted to let people know. They sell fast here at that price. Babs

I'm leaning towards the Barred Rocks. After they get a little size to thiem, I have a small chicken tractor on legs and the gangplank has a gentle slope sown to the ground where it has a larger caged pen.
