  • Re: Have you used compact fluorescent light bulbs?

I personally do not use them, as one broke in my bedroom years ago, the cat knocked it over.  It was the middle of the night and I planned on cleaning it up in the morning...big mistake, as I woke up and my eyes and throat were burning.  I had never had this issue with the other light bulbs when they broke. When they break mercury is ...

  • Re: First car

My first car was in 1973.  I don't remember what year the car was, but I do remember it was a Dodge and you changed gears with push buttons.

  • Re: Your First Job

My first job was in 1973.  I worked at Broadway Dept. Store in Century City, CA, which is no longer in buisness.  Minimum wage at that time was $1.65.  My second paid job at 18 was working at the Los Angeles Free Clinic, (where I had volunteered since I was 15) although I was paid through a grant through Planned ...

  • Re: I am so over the moon

Seaturtle, I am not sure. I am very new to gardening Maybe there is someone on here who knows if and what I can plant through the winter. The winters get down to the 30's and 40's sometimes. Is that too cold to grow cold winter crops? I am not being sarcastic here, but being born and raised in CA...I am not sure what is meant, ...

  • Re: Dog Food Recall!!!

That is really scary that even the better brands have recalls.  I feed my cats...Castor and Polluxs Organix cat food.  The main ingridients are organic chic, brown rice and flaxseed. I would hate to see a recall on it.

  • Re: Reusable Tote Bag Bath-Time!?

These are the bags I have used for years.  There is no hiding dirt on these, so when they get dirty, I just throw them in the washing machine.  I love these bags as they are so sturdy even after much use and being washed.

  • Re: If you drink Synergy kombucha and have a Sprouts market near you

Here is the link to their site...Its a natural, organic market. They are only located in a few states. It is similar to Trader Joes, only with much more organic and Sprouts also has a bulk section. http://www.sprouts.com/ Synergy kombucha is raw and organic...it is full of probiotics and antioxidents.
