  • My son made my heart sing tonight

Our oldest son Tyler had to come home from college for a physical today. When I picked him up he talked non-stop all the way home. One thing he said was that he has never been as happy as he is now being in college. He is really struggling his first semester at RPI. It is much harder than he expected(one of those mom and dad dont know what they ...

  • Re: Bipolar disorder -- its price in money & in emotions

Seaturtle, I love that! I am going to pass that on to the mother of the young man I do pca work for. Although my dealings with mental illness are mild compared to you Deb, Seaturtle and Cheapchic I know that they have made me a much more compassionate person. So many people just don't understand that for some complete healing will ...

  • Re: How the little things add up

However, I think we all do agree that the little things do add up to big savings if done consistently.   I agree that the little things do add up and we each have to decide where we are willing to take the time to save. In my life I know I do not have enough time to do everything that could be done to save as much money as is possible. ...

  • Re: H1N1 is here too

Babs, our local middle school has a person on staff that is driving kids home if they show up with fevers. I think that is awesome! Amy is fever free this morning but I am not going to send her until Friday. Like I said some parents send them back way too soon but I understand most of those parents have jobs they are worried about losing, it is a ...

  • Re: H1N1 is here too

wow this thing is weird. Amy now has a temp of 99.9, her head hurts a lot and she feels nauseous. I think I am going to give her the rest of the week off from school even if the fever is gone by tomorrow. I will call the school in the morning and get her work, she can do it slowly at her own pace. Some of these kids just get sent back to school ...

  • Re: How the little things add up

Pat, with our new front load washing machine my clothes take about 25 minutes to dry because they are spun so much in the washing machine. It takes me 15 minutes to hang a load of laundry. Since I do not have the time to do all the cost saving things I would like it is not an option to spend 15 minutes to save .25c or even .50c. I ...
