I make homemade cornbread and sage dressing. My family laughs at me. I can make a near perfect dressing from scratch w/o a recipe. I cannot cook a boxed dressing to save my life.

We buy plastic ornaments. They look just like the highly breakable glass ones but the cats can bat to their hearts content and the kids can pick them up to replace them and not break a thing.

That is going to depend upon where she will be living. My wardrobe is nothing like it would be if I lived in Washington state or Houston, TX. Climate varies greatly.

My allergy tests will vary by dr and method of testing. I KNOW I am anaphylactic to shellfish and test according to dr A, but dr B I'm mildly allergic and dr C shows no allergy. IMO reactions trump test results.

"Pretty" whites actually have blue dye added to them. After a few washing the blue washes out and they start looking dingy or even yellow. You can pick up a bottle of bluing in the laundry area. You just add a couple drops to the rinse water.

Only if we are having a house full of people. It is one of those meal "stretcher" items rather than the main event. If we have a small gathering I won't make it unless my brother is coming (who loves it). The rest of us won't miss it.

My kids are close in age and we try to keep things as equal as possible. Santa brings 1 gift for each child (usually a big gift - this year a wii game for each). Mom and Dad do practical needs (jammies, sleeping bags, clothes). Money cards from relatives are used on what the kids want.

We actually get company this year. We are having our usual 6 here and DS best friend and family are coming.
