  • Re: Preschool co-op behavior problem, please help!

I have a a few VERY strong willed kids, can totally sympathize.  I know how hard and frustrating it can be, especially when you're trying to give him a fun and safe preschool experience (which I'm sure is one of the reasons you chose an in-home co-op to begin with).  If it was me in the situation, this is what I'd ...
  • Re: quality food processors

If you have a large family or cook large batches of food, then you might want to look into a Cuisinart.  I know they are pricey, but they are very well made and last!  I have one that was a gift for Mother's day a few years back.  It was almost $200, but honestly I think it's worth every penny.  Super easy to operate ...

  • Re: The cost of crafting

Pat, isn't it amazing how much craft supplies cost?!?  I too sometimes am in shock when I see how much things cost when pricing out materials for crafting.  I don't sew/knit (I really want to learn how to sew though!), but do other crafts (mostly papercrafting) and am blown away sometimes by how much the "cute" stuff ...

  • Re: My very sick service doggie, Heart

Deb, I'm so sorry you're having problems with Heart.  When you take her in today, talk to the specialist about eczema or food allergies.  My parents have a pit bull/sharpae mix and she has HORRIBLE eczema and skin allergies.  She too chews raw patches on her tail, back and haunches.  The vet said she was allergic ...

  • Re: Need suggestions desperately!

[quote user="swtnsassy"]I also thought of opening a seperate account, but when he deals with the top dogs of multi-billion dollar corporations and about half of his income is commissions, he simply can't risk the card being declined. He is an adult (I guess this is what makes me so angry), so I will not treat him like a child ...

  • Re: Need suggestions desperately!

My hubby has a business credit card that he uses for purchases, so luckily we don't have to worry about filling out expense reports for reimbursement.  If he had to do that, we would probably be in the same boat that you are:) If it was me, I would open up a seperate account for him linked with a debit/credit card.  X amount of ...

  • Re: Craft Projects for Christmas 2009 - what are you making?

In the shower I just thought of an idea I'm going to do this year.  I'm going to take some peppermint tea bags that I have and open them up and dump the loose tea into a bowl.  I have some "past due" organic rosemary and basil that I've been holding onto.  I'm going to add those to the peppermint tea and ...

  • Re: Too much spending on children, reader needs help

Well, if it was me this is what I'd do. Sit with hubby and hash it out.  What are they jointly willing to do?  What do they feel is in the best interest of themselves and the kids.  Be brutally honest with each other on what they are willing to do.  Making a plan and then not sticking to it because one party doesn't ...
