  • Re: Financial Abundance in 2014

Keep at it everyone, we can do this! I have the first deferred interest promo taken care of with Home Depot. I have to call this afternoon and get things set up for the second one. I am thinking of using today's tips to pay on the visa, which should bring it to about $400 (unless I am really busy today). Or just pay more on Home Depot ...

Go get 'em retired! Good Job! Paid the regular payment on the Harley this morning. Also paid $230 on Home Depot. that leaves $165.75 on the first promo. Next week I will be focusing on Lowes to knock a dent in it as the minimum is $268, bringing the total balance down to $6821. I think that rotating weeks between these two will work best. ...

Paid $150 on the visa, balance down to $468. Paid $135 on home depot (minimum) but it wasn't due until the 4th of May, so now to start putting extra toward those deferred interest promos. Hoping to have the first one ($395.75) paid off this month! Not gonna sweat the visa so much, interest is only $6/month for it.

Tracy, Lowes and Home depot make me equally nuts. Lowes because of the interest rate and home depot because of their interest rate and the deferred interest promo situation. Both vehicles are healthy (knock on wood) so I don't see the need to rush that one..just don't know what to think on it Home depot has a promo expiring jun4, one ...

I Have decided to stay in snowball order for just a little bit longer..paid off Belk today!!! Now going after the visa ($618). DH brought up a point for the bank loan. The vehicles are attached to it as collateral, and they are getting older. He is thinking we should pay the bank loan first before lowes and home depot "in case" something ...

  • Re: Financial Abundance in 2014

I spoke with someone from Home Depot credit last night, curious as to why the balances on the promotional deferred interest purchases NEVER went down. Apparently, it only goes toward it with the amount paid ABOVE the minimum in the last 60 days of the promotion. In order to pay on it early, you have to call and set that up. So that's why that ...

I think going after the debt first is the right thing to do. He does have a small amount taken out each week now, but planning to increase once things are paid off. The tenative budget once things are paid is $235 bcbs, $234 state farm, $150 power, $150 cable/internet/phone, and $150 cell. Those would be our only "bills". Thankfully ...
