This week I have been taking home leftovers from our catered (free) lunches at work for the family to eat for dinner. Sometimes it is only part of a meal, but at other times it is an enitre meal I can take home (veg, bread, protein). I do this off and on to save $; and since I don't feel like cooking and we have had some ...

Okay, since our electric rates just went up 20%, this month we are focusing on lowering the electric bill. We have unplugged everything that does not get used regularly (even the TV), b/c most anything that gets plugged in draws power even when it is not turned on. Even the washing machine; it was a pain (literally) to get behind it to ...

I strive to keep all foods as natural as possible and avoid processed foods whenever possible. I predominately shop at Whole Foods and rarely does anything there have a coupon. It may not be as thrifty at the grocery store, but thanks to God, I don't have any medical issues so to me it all ...

Great insight!
To add to that, I really do think that most people don't even know THEMSELVES. You have to know what you want and who you are before you can ...

Thank you for posting that! I want to do mixes and a few baked goods this year, but with the baby turning 1 just 2 1/2 weeks before Christmas, something tells me that I will do well just to get the mixes prepared and "prettied up" in the jars.

Yummo, peanut butter and bananas and blueberries taste soooooooooooooooooooooooo good together. Which brings me to a question that has been bugging me for ages, where can I find a really good peanut grinder to make my own peanut butter? Or can I just use my blender?

I did not say that she had been converted to vegetarian eating. I said that she had tried mahi mahi and liked it. Fish is much better for the human body than the fried meat-that-once-ran-around-on-legs that she usually eats. And she was really excited about liking the taste of this healthier alternative, so I still stand by my ...
