• Re: Lace
I am so sorry that Mom doesn't remember stuff like that anymore. She used to sew on lace and she could've told me everything you would need to know. Mom used to be an expert when it came to sewing. Mom took all sorts of courses in sewing plus she used to teach sewing. Have you looked to see ...

  • Lace

Is there a good site somewhere for instructions on how to sew lace on an entire dress?  What is a good type of lace (without being extremely expensive) to cover an entire wedding dress?  Thanks for any info you can provide.

  • Aerobed

We just bought a raised twin size Aerobed for our guest room.  Does anyone have experience sleeping on one?  How did you like it and did it hold up well?

I think being cheap equals selfishness and possibly dishonesty.  Frugality should equal personal financial responsibility.

  • Re: Line-Drying
I would love to line dry, but there's no clothes line here right now.  I'm hoping next summer to convince DH that we would benefit from one.  My mom had the umbrella type and her favorite feature was that it folded up and she could pull it out from it's tube holder in the ground and put ...

  • Re: Teenagers learning to drive

We have 3 daughters and the youngest will be 20 in October.  I completely understand your anxiety over allowing your child to drive on the freeway.  However, he really needs to learn how to deal with traffic.  I suggest you begin going with him on short trips on the freeway at non-rush hour times.  Experience does really ...

  • Re: Mats or Tangles in Cat Fur
Aurora has long fur. I try to comb it regularly, but she gets mats or tangles in it. They can't be combed out of her fur. I feed her anti-hairball dry food plus a wet cat food daily. What can I do to keep the matted fur from happening ? Thanks.
Hi, I love cats too!  Have ...

  • Re: I'm back! Settled in (mostly) in Indiana; want to hear about you

Welcome to Indiana!  We live in central Indiana.  Yes, most people are friendly.  Housing costs are definitely lower than in a lot of other states.  As far as cell phone reception goes, Verizon does seem to have wider coverage than some other carriers.  I hope you enjoy your new home.
