  • Re: Pork Chops

hi Brandy, This also involves cutting in 1/4 to 1/2 in strips, but instead of bbq-ing, I put them in my wok pan with some Mrs.Dash, (you can mix spices to suit your taste if no Dash on hand), and some olive or canola oil, just a couple tablespoons, and stir fry until they start to brown. I then remove them from the pan, and with the remaining oil ...

  • Re: Cake Mix question

I also do what deborahmichelle suggested, and the remaining 1 1/2 can be frozen in a small zip-loc bag for the next cake or some other purpose.  ---and yes---if you already have the EggBeaters (regular, not lite or whites), they have worked fine for me too.

  • Re: Have a Bank of America Credit Card...warning!

Hi haverwench..welcome. I like the way you think. It is always best to sound educated ((on the topic at hand) and somewhat sane, when trying to get something corrected. One last caveat about Bank of America credit cards...one we had with them never had the same payment due date month to month. It varied like from the 3rd to the 2nd to the ...

  • Re: Have a Bank of America Credit Card...warning!

HI all, Just wanted to give an update on this particular situation. I reported that we 'opted out" of the 8-10% interest increase in February. duh.. Anyway, since then our CURRENT rates have DROPPED 1.25% to 2.% on the small amounts we have left to pay off. If they can't have more, they'll settle for less? On a separate Bank of ...

  • Re: "Gas Prices Soar, Posing A Threat to Family Budgets"

vladd44: HAH! I know what you mean. Hills produces less "waste" but gas is another story! My dogs (and cats) are not crazy about Hills, will eat it though. They refuse to eat Iams, and its just as well because its rather unaffordable. Hope your beautiful guys like it and it suits their stomachs.

  • Re: "Gas Prices Soar, Posing A Threat to Family Budgets"

Hi Vladd44, I feel your pain. I have 4 full size 60-75# guys and girls. The best quality at the best price I have found is Pedigree dry. We pay a little over 19.00 for a 52 pound bag, not bad compared to Beneful. Their coats are beautiful, and they stay remarkably healthy for their ages. Plus, there are usually some 1.00 and 2.00 coupons around ...

Hi rolo, Yeah, I know they can do whatever they want....whenenver they want...and with no reason, as in my case. My warning to the other customers who may not read all the mail that looks like "Junk" is that they may have missed the amendment letter. In my case, the shark swimming days are over, I went ahead and paid them off, but ...

  • Have a Bank of America Credit Card...warning!

About 1.5 million Bank of America credit card holders have rec'd. notices of "rate increase amendments." The rates on these accounts will be increasing in March by 7 to 10% above the current rates. The cardholders affected have been notified, and have until Feb. 29, 2008 to send a LETTER of REJECTION in WRITING to the address ...

  • Re: A couple of suggestions for cutting your grocery bill

Amen, FrugalDoug, I agree with all those points!  Another suggestion is to not send a spouse who is not a SHOPPER to get groceries. I did this once, and he came home with bags of batteries, work gloves, and 4 GALLONS OF CHOCOLATE MILK!!!!!  Nothing on the list made it, because of all these "good buys"! He ran out of money ...

  • Re: 1/22 Dollar Stretcher

My savings today are sort of belated from the first of the month. I had ordered $114.00 worth of clothing from Victoria's Secret (yoga clothes, not the flashy stuffy, if anyone cares) the first week of January. I checked yesterday to track the package, it said USPS delivered it to my local Post office on Jan. 14!  I called VS and told ...
