  • Re: Do I Owe My Neighbor Anything?

I think the key to this is thatif you can not tie onto his fence, then it is not also your fence.  However, making nice with neighbors is always a good move.   Also, wereyou consulted in the height, style etc of the shared fence?  If not I don't see how you could be responsible for half the cost.

I am writing a paper for my English class about the social implications of homeschooling in comparision to public schooling.  Do you have any input or opinion?  Do you know of any great resources that I could use for information?  Thanks!  This is my final project for the class, so getting all sorts of ...

  • Re: What now?

We have looked at selling the second car (the one that is not liscensed) but it is so old that what we could get out of it is really quite minimal, even though it runs extremely well. We did find out that the company DH was laid off from will have work January 1st, and they want DH back at that time.  If we can hang on a few more ...

  • What now?

Some you know that my Dh was laid off shortly before the Fourth of July.  We are currently all caught up on our bills, but that will not last long (as in we won't make it until the end of October without being behind).  Unemployment will cover the mortgage and some of the utilities.  We don't need to worry about ...

  • Re: At what temperture will you turn on your heater?

We actually turned ours on yesterday afternoon.  The house was down to 63 degrees.  With my friend and her family living with us, we will need to keep things a little warmer than normal because of the baby.  Today is bright and sunny, so we turned the furnace off again.  It should be intermittent like this for a few more ...

  • Re: Slaying the Debt Dragon in 2009

For the first time, unemployment really got to us today.  DH andI got into a big fight about...well, nothing.  We were just getting on each other's nerves.  I would love for us to have the chance to get away from each other for awhile.   As much as we love each other, three months of seeing no one but each other is ...

  • Re: Slaying the Debt Dragon in 2009

Today was a good day.  We spent a large part of the afternoon working in the yard.  I hope this evening that I can get in the crocus, hyacynth and tulips bulbs.  I think the sun was good for us.
