Last night was baked chicken wings, rice and broccoli. We are so blessed to have lots to choose from. I am still trying to get my freezer stash down since we are moving beginning of next month. The movers will move canned goods, but not frozen!! lol, actually I may end up giving some away which will bless others.

Went back to the commissary and got cream cheese, bananas and imitation crab meat (to make homemade sushi with the seaweed wrappers, rice, cucumbers and sesame seeds I already had at home) for a total of $5.40. Plus I picked up my WIC so I have eggs, cheese, juice and milk too. Total for Oct. so far is $46.47

Hey Virginia, are the back of these snuggies open? I can not tell for sure from the commercial, but if they are open then they appear to me to be like a bathrobe put on backwards?

My monthly budget including cleaning supplies and diapers for nighttime use only is between $500 and $600 for my family of 5. In addition to this I have one child on WIC. However, this is our last month here in HI. The army is moving us back to the mainland in Nov. (Thankgoodness as food prices here are HIGH!!). So this month I am spending very ...

Add noodles, cooked hamburger with veges, a can of salsa (or canned/ fresh chopped tomatoes), taco seasonings and cheddar cheese if you have it. Cooks up quick and the kids love it. You can top ...

I found a sewing book at Goodwill for 99cents that has some great ideas. For my 3 yr old and her 2 yr old cousin I am making Christmas felt puppets. I found 3 tea towels at a local thriftstore for 1.99 that I am going to crosstitch and put in baskets for my mom, stepmom and an aunt. Baskets will be from the dollar store. Homemade felt ornaments ...

I thought of some more. Make hamburger gravy, but add a large can of crushed tomatoes to it. Serve over rice. My grandma grew up in the south and this is her recipe for tomato gravy. Another idea is to thinly slice cabbage, onions, garlic and bell pepper and saute. Season using salt and pepper and hot chile flakes. Serve over rice.
