  • Re: Looking for a new job-

No. It wouldn't bother me at all. I think anytime you work with children, the elderly, the incapacitated, or with peoples medical records or any type of job where peoples personal safety or monetary health is in a workers hands, fingerprinting should be expected. I do feel that child care workers and many healthcare workers as well as many ...

  • Re: Looking for a new job-

I have worked many different jobs over the past 25 years. Some required finger printing, others did not. The whole fingerprint thing does not bother me as the government already has my prints on file. I was in the military for 6 years, and it was done upon enlistment. The BIG BROTHER theory does not make me worry either. They track us by our ...

  • Re: Cutting the Cost of Healthcare

That was my thought. I am more worried about the broken bones and catastrophic things that can happen than the little things like colds, flu and day to day illnesses. I think I will do it.

  • Re: "After faithfully making mortgage payments for decades..."

I work with someone who lost a child very quickly. He was diagnosed with a terminal illness right before his 3th birthday and died just before his 4th birthday. The mom had to quit work. The dad provided all the support for their family and could not keep up with all the expenses. They lost their home, their vehicles, used all of their ...

  • Re: Cutting the Cost of Healthcare

Our almost 20 year old son opted to move out on his own, and go to work full time instead of comit to college. Because of this he has no health insurance thru us. His job offers insurance but even though it is reasonable $100.00 per month, he only takes home about $1200.00 per month. Now that he has moved out he owes on a car and insurance, rent, ...

  • Re: "What are the Lines at Starbucks Telling Us...?"

Well, I have to admit my husband and I treat ourselves to a fancy coffee about once a week. Not always Starbucks. Sometimes we are lucky and find a little independant coffee shack. They are getting harder and harder to find. The rest of the time we use our Cuisenart Grind and Brew that I found on line refurbished for 69.00 new it is $150.00. For ...

  • Re: Dry Cleaning

I have had good luck with the Dryel product and have not ruined anything. My dryer is newer though and has a cycle just for Dryel or Dry Cleaners Secret. The clothes always come out fresh and it allows for extra wear between pro cleanings. One thing I do in addition to the Dryel product is I spritz my husbands pants with water in the area on the ...

  • Re: Dry Cleaning

I forgot to note that though my husband has all of his work clothes dry cleaned, mine are the opposite. I only dry clean my suit jackets to preserve the blocking. They are only cleaned about once every 3 or 4 months as I do not wear them all the time, only when going into meetings. My pants are wash and wear as are my shirts. I ...

  • Re: Dry Cleaning

My husband is required to wear suits, dress shirts, sport coats and dress slacks for work. Dry cleaning is not optional. I have used the Dryel home cleaning system to "freshen" his pants and vests between cleanings as long as there are no soil or stains on them. By doing this he can usually wear a pair of dress pants or wool slacks 2 or ...
