Trent from The Simple Dollar was able to conduct an interview with Amy. The Tightwad Gazette was and is such an integral part of my frugal life- I thought maybe some of you here felt the same way. I hope it's okay to post this ...

My older brother gave me the nicest compliment the other day. He told me that I was the only person he knew that could spend 50 dollars at the grocery store and make it seem like 300 dollars. He also said after I blushed and said thanks that I was the only person he knew who would be thrilled at that compliment! LOL:)
I found Pat on ...

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I just had to let you know how glad I am for you. It couldn't have happened (finally!) for a nicer or more deserving person. Your positivity in the face of all this adversity is inspirational.
God bless your family! I hope everything goes smoothly.

I love fried egg sandwiches. My main grocery store still has eggs for 99 cents a dozen every 6 weeks or so (I'm wondering if that will change soon.) My homemade oatmeal bread toasted with a little real butter ( I save my real butter for toast only) and one egg it is not only cheap, it's also one of my favorite meals. And for only 75 ...

I also got a gallon of milk for $1. I asked the manager if they always mark down the milk in the morning on Tuesdays and he said they usually do, so I might have a great cheap source for ...

Mr. Yeager did a great job! One thing I liked about this interview, was that Matt Lauer seemed very respectful and even enthused about the idea of frugality. Very nice.

I had a friend who described her decorating style as "Early Attic." I would rather use the term "Eclectic."

I call my decorating style "anti-theft".
I didn't own a mattress for the first few years of my adulthood and slept on the floor. My roommate ...

I sent this list to my Dad. He is pressuring me to go to law school even though I have no great desire to be an attorney. On the other hand, I think the reality is that most people will never work a "dream" job and a lot of people will never find one they even love. You can indentify negative aspects of any occupation (admittedly, ...
