I had a clothesline in my backyard, but our overgrown puppy yanked it down.  We now have a portable, expandable clothesline that I've only used twice.  The wind has knocked it over quite a few times, and since I've went back to work (& it's really to large to have inside), the only time I'm comfortable having it out ...
