       Count me in with the folks who say set him up a separate checking account with debit card.  Or set the household account up on the separate account.  Either way, make him responsible for his own expenses ...  if he doesn't, he can be embarrased in front of his client when the card is declined.    ...

      Just DH and myself, since we're both working the holiday.  I plan to get either a turkey or a turkey breast, depending on sales. We have plenty of food in the house .. shouldn't be a problem to come up with side dishes, LOL!

      Actually, DMC, I think 7-11 coffee is around a buck a cup ... but for 2 of them every day, it adds up.   No offense to 7-11, but I bet your espresso maker makes better stuff, LOL!

        Oh, boy ..... I suspect they all thought they'd get another high-paying job in a couple of weeks.  And that one fellow still doesn't get it ... he thinks he's saving on coffee at 7-11 because he recycles his cups.  Guess the idea of buying a can of coffee and making it at home never occured to him.

     I'm not sure there's anything I want badly enough to persuade me to go out shopping that day.  Especially if it meant showing up at the store at 6 a.m.  Now online ... that I might consider.
