Sunny and cooler today ... had to put the heat on last night, and moved a few of the more fragile plants (in pots) into the garage for the night. Didn't have time to make an Aldi run ... sure the place will be a madhouse! (along with every other grocery and liquor store in town)

Finally did my first pick of kale. Had enough to give us each a small serving for dinner!

I have one that I overwintered for the 2nd year ... put it out in the garden last week, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully, the bunnies will leave it alone.

Raining and cooler here today ...
Had to run a couple of errands; stopped at Costco and got a few things. Also picked up a roti chicken, since I wanted something a bit blander for DH's tummy. Think I'll be able to start cooking for real in the next day or two. Otherwise, things are pretty quiet. ...

In the district I live in ... traditional calendar schools wrap up next week. Those on the year-round calendar run till the end of June.

DH is feeling better, but not enough to go to work . I did get a fair amount done yesterday while I stayed with him, though. Got the beans in, mopped, got some laundry put away, got a bit of ...

Thunderstorms rolled through here about 3 a.m. and around 5 a.m. (I think). Expecting more storms tonight.
DH says he feels better, but is still wiped out. I'm taking a day off work to keep an eye on him.
Need to get some garden work in ... hopefully can get some more sewing done, too.

I just saw it on the news ... blocks of devastation. They're saying it hit an elementary school.

I appreciate having it on the menus --- was at my favorite noodle eatery last week and saw that my first choice had a LOT more calories than other items, so I chose something else.
It can be a real eye opener -- especially when you look at things like salt and fat content! Yikes!
