  • Re: Magic Jack?

We've had some issues with the MJ, and have stopped using it.  Does anyone use it with Windows Vista?  I wondered if it might be a compatibility issue.  The phone calls sound very distance and sometimes break up.  We have done all we can figure out to do.
  • Re: Homeschool and socialization

We originally began homeschooling our oldest son because he hated school and really didn't do very well or seem to apply himself.  He struggled in math and excelled in reading and history, but really was just never very interested in school as a whole.  Today he is grown and still avoids most social things.  He works in a ...

  • Re: Cold Sore Remedie

L-lysine will keep cold sores away.  You can take it daily or when you feel one coming on.  I get them most often if I get a cold or if I go on vacation (stress), so I take lysine on these occasions.

  • Re: Tissues or Hankies?

I have a question.  I have never used hankies, but after reading these posts, I may give it a try.  Do you have to wash them separately or can they be thrown in with regular wash?

  • Re: Homeschool and socialization

Carmina, I think it was Brandy who made a good point on this forum before about the hardest part of homeschooling being the extreme burden of responsibility that one feels for every aspect of their child's life.  I know it isn't a popular perspective in child psychology, but I try to remember that each child is their own individual ...
  • Re: Tantrum and refusal to do work

This is our last year of homeschooling our two sons as our youngest will graduate this spring.  I was given great insight from a physician when my oldest son was 12.  He said that with adolescent boys, it either comes out of their sweat glands or it comes out of their mouths.  Exercise really seemed to make a big difference ...
