  • Re: My very sick service doggie, Heart

I hope Heart is ok and that the doctor was able to get to the bottom of it all. I know my poodle has had hot spots every now and again and she licks them raw.

  • Re: The cost of crafting

Cost is the very thing that often keeps me from making a lot of items. I have found that the cheapest craft for me was making the ornament hangers over the last couple of years. I usually buy my beads and wire at W/M and the end cost is usually around 20 cents or less for each one. It really depends on how much you want to put into something. ...

  • Re: Building a winter wardrobe from scratch...ideas please!

I can tell you that if she is in the south then it won't be so bad and you have been given some good advice, but if she ends up in the great lakes region it just plains gets really cold here. Layers are key. Long johns, thick socks and slippers, boots, heavy coat and gloves or mittens, hat, scarf. I hope she gets to go to the warmer ...

  • U.S. Resident fight to hang their laundry...

That's the title on a story this morning from Reuter's, posted on Yahoo. Seriously, what ever happened to "Freedom" in this country? I never thought I would see the day it be against the law to hang laundry. My grandmother would turn over in her grave! People hang their laundry around here all of the time. I think it's ...

Today I have to go refile for property tax exemptions from the refinance of our mortgage. Meeting a friend for lunch, which is more like a soda or tea for me, can't afford the place. If it were up to me I would just stay home today, but some things just have to be done. I want to spend some time later working on making some Christmas ...

  • Re: Craft Projects for Christmas 2009 - what are you making?

Edey,   I just had a thought. Is there a beaded anything I can make as an helping accessory for counted cross stitch? I don't do it myself, but my dd's bf's mom does and I wanted to do something for her if I could. Otherwise I might just make some ornament hangers. Those usually go over very well, but I am having a lot of ...
