Line spacing between paragraphs doesn't post

When I write my posts, the line spacing looks just fine. When I post it, the entire text runs together. Is it because the interface with Safari (Apple computer) isn't ideal? Or is there a way to ensure the line spacing? Thanks

you might put a "." (period symbol) on each line after you hit 'return'. That way it looks like an emtpy line, but it really has something there.

Also, you might use firefox--it is mac & forum friendly.

Re: Line spacing between paragraphs doesn't post

I've now tried using punctuation on a new line, to no avail. Would also like to keep the software on my computer to Apple-only. This is the only forum I've been on whereby the line spacings do not "take". I found that on Wordpress I had to use the simple text editor and not the fancy version to get line spacings. Is there such a choice on this forum?

Push the little "html" button and see if the editor is putting the following code in when you hit return:

     <p>&nbsp<p>

If it's putting that in, and Safari isn't turning that into a new line, it's Safari that's acting odd.  Perhaps you could update it ?

Or, go ahead and give firefox a try....

Go to the top right and click on "Edit Profile." Once there, find the "Site Options" tab, then look for "Content Editor." You can change it there.

I just tried changing it, and it did not seem to make a difference. It was set to Standard, and I changed it to Text and Enhanced and it still ran my lines together. Am I doing it right? TIA

Thanks for the help! I am testing this after having chosen Plain Text. Update: As you can see, it made no difference. Nix on the Firefox. I'm keeping my Mac a Mac. It is not something wrong with Safari. There is simply not adequate interfacing, due to how the software, which this forum uses, was programmed. I'll look for the html "button" to click.

Small test with Enhanced option. I do not find "html" to click on. Perhaps it does not appear, due to the programmed lack in the interfacing? Edit: As you can see, the returns did not occur. Also, no options appear for font styles, size of fonts, colors, etc. The one time I have all this occur was on Wordpress and the change to the simplest text editor choice made normal posting possible. I asked on the Wordpress help forum and other Mac users had found the same situation. On some sites there is a disclaimer regarding unfinished interfacing with Safari. Until a solution appears, I'll be brief. Thanks much for trying!
