    What's next for you?

Now that the holidays are over, what craft will you work on next?

I am going to launder my old uniform tops again and get them cut into strips for the rag rug.  It's time to make something for me.

Right now i"m making myself a pair of houseshoes, then I'll tackle a vest. That may take awhile because I haven't found a pattern that I really like yet so may wind up creating my own.

Not really sure, but I think I may make some lap quilts to use up some of my fabric stash. It's more useful as a quilt than sitting in a tub waiting for a project.  Edey

Among my projects will be salt dough Christmas ornaments. I am still gathering cookie cutters. I also need to buy some salt.

One I can find my craft table I will start on the list of birthday and anniversary cards I will need for family members between now and March.  I also want to make some more beaded snowflakes for my Christmas tree, and finish a couple beaded ornanments I've got 1/2 done.  Then it will be one to at least another dozen Christmas cards for next year.  I want to make all my Christmas cards for 2009 and I want to get as many done as I can while it is still cold out.  It just seems strange to work on Christmas cards in July! So, I want to get those done and stored until I need them.  I will also be working on some Valentine cards for my card exchange group.  So, lots of projects to keep me busy the next few weeks.

A baby blanket for a coworker whose wife is pregnant, and due in March.  After that's done, I'm going to get back to work on the cross-stitch picture I keep putting off to work on gifts; it's one of 3 - a dragon, which is completed, a wizard, which is about 3/4 done, and a fairy, which I haven't started.  When I finally get them all done, I'm going to frame them to match and hang them in my bedroom, where I already have 2 unicorn needlepoint pictures I did years ago.

I'm feeling the urge to make handbags, wristlets etc.  I have a few designs in my head that I need to get down on paper or make actual samples.  I'd like to start selling some of them next year.  My craft-for-sale efforts have always been Christmas oriented.  I need to expand my horizons.

I just found out my "brother" (one of my dearest friends, he's my brother by another mother LOL) and his fiance are expecting!!  Due sometime around August.  I need to start working on a baby blanket or quilt! Sooooo exciting, I'm going to be an Auntie. Big Smile
