    How do you find peace?

I find in the Savior.  The last two months have been difficult.  We are involved in a nasty lawsuit with my next door neighbor (previous friends, not any more).  Trying to not let it bug me has been a difficult task almost unbearable at times. Sometimes I feel things will get worse before they get better like in a storm.  We belong to the same congregation (that is extremely painful).

I find peace knowing that God is always in charge.  How do you find peace in your struggles?

Dear Carmina, Similar but different.  I find peace in praying.  I ask the L-rd to show me my blessings, instead of my complaints.  My personal physician, Peter, gave me a bracelet that says "Baruch Atah," (Blessed Art Thou), which starts all Hebrew prayers.  It reminds me to pray from my heart in English.  G-d understands all languages.

I am sorry to hear about your litigation.

I find peace by locking myself in the bathroom for a long hot bath and putting on some headphones to block out the other sounds of the house and reading a bit of a good book.

Carmina, I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. I am a litigator, and believe it or not, much of my heart is in my cases; I know how long the process is and how painful it can be. Take peace knowing that you seek truth and justice.

I find it in helping other people. In my faith, the most important thing is emulating Christ. INW, putting your actions where your mouth is. When I help other people, I find humility in my own circumstances & reaffirmation of my faith. In the past, I've done child advocaty & general community service through the school. Now, I help a neighbor by watching her kids for free & teaching them crafts.

i find peace in meditations.  i love to snuggle into my bed with my iPod and listen to a really good guided meditation.  I also am very peaceful if i can find it in me to relax completely during a massage.

Also, whenever i am on vacation... i just love to take in my new surroundings.  Very peaceful, especially in the mountains.

Finding somewhere for everyone in the house to go (for the day or at least 4 hours) then:

listening to classical music, cooking, reading, (no political or economical news on the tv or computer during these free periods, walking through the woods and fields taking pictures (never of people) and taking a nap. If I know someone TRULY needs help..I do it then in a way that is anonymous. Running up on a way to cut back on an expense brings me peace anytime or anywhere.

    Cheers, jane b
