Too bad you didn't get it, but I think you said it would have been another set of bills, mainly, not much income.  Where you going to donate some of the use of the house to your church group?  I think that is very generous, but also an insurance liability and cost to you.  Hope the dogs stay away from you. Let us know how it goes.

Our income is way down this year.  Also my computer with Quicken is down, so will have to do everything by hand, this year, although it has 11 months of banking on it.  I did make a tax appointment, for early Feb.

Yes, it is nice not to have to worry about another set of bills....just another set of neighbors. I met them yesterday. they came over to ask dh to install a new wood stove and gas heater in the house. They are buying the material, dh just has to pull the permits and install it. Hopefully they aren't expecting "freebie" work. Money wasn't discussed.

Our church group is moving into a "Lodge" in town that hasn't been used regularly in quite some time. Smells like old cigarette smoke, yuck!Ick!

In the meantime, I am waiting on all the appropriate paperwork before filing this year. Usually I file around the 15th because it's simple, I keep good records, and I efile. However, this year I need unemployment statement, IRA dispersal statement from 3 companies, salary statement, mortage interest statement, and I can't remember what else. I have excellent records for all but the Dispersal.....there are certain codes that I need for the 1040 that only the statements will have.

I'm hardly getting anything at all back....(but I'm still VERY lucky to not pay in!)....so I'm not anxious to file this year.
