Ideas to use up dry French onion dip pouches besides dip?

I have a couple of french onion dip pouches from my chrisco hampers last year.  obviously never used them for dips.  not big dip people here.

Can you use them in place of onion soup mixes? any ideas?

I've used dry onion dips to flavor pot roast - just add a little extra water, stock, or whatever liquid you're using.

I don't see why you couldn't use them in place of soup mixes. Have you thought about using them for salad dressing?

What about mixing it into ground beef to season hamburgers or meatloaf?

I have about 20 recipes for dip pouches on the boxes of my different dip packages.Someof them are dip recipes, but there are also crock pot lasagnas, crock pot chicken, cheesy garlic chicken, oven roasted vegetables, pork chops, chicken nuggets, crock pot chicken stew, "15-minute" beef stew, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken au jus, beef and broccoli. Let me know if any of those sound interesting and I'll post them. I've only tried the oven-roasted vegetables, but I remember liking them.

    Joyous:

Are they the same as using soup mixes? When I said she could probably use them like soup mixes, I was thinking of recipes like yours. I don't use recipes much, I tend to wing it. Smile

I've made the Three-Step Stroganoff recipe from Taste of Home several times - it's quite good and uses a package of dry onion soup mix.  You can get the recipe here: http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Three-Step-Stroganoff

My friends uses them on red potatoes to roast. Put the onion mix in a bag, shakes the potatoes. sprinkles on a little oil . Pops in the oven. They are delicious. Babs

Ah, I do see they say "soup mix" on the box as well. I try not to wing things too much unless I feel confident in the recipe. I've ruined a few too many things!
