    Correction:

the name of the website is Dy-dee diaper service.  They sell them on the website for under 3.00.  It has a picture too. Like I said I buy all the diapering supplies I need there.

Google "bikini twist diaper fold" and you will find many websites with pictures and all.

    Re: Cloth diapering?

I cloth diapered all 4 of my kids (the youngest is now 5). Over the years, I pared my system down to a very simple one. I used the diaper-service quality prefold diapers, pins, and nylon pants (preferably the ones with snaps on the sides.) The diaper wraps were OK, but the Velcro loses its stick way too fast, and an unpinned diaper is just too inclined to leak, IME. People make a big deal about pins, but I never had a problem; I stored them stabbed into a bar of soap that I stuck into the toe of one of those many lone socks we all seem to have. I stuck myself a few times, but never did stick a baby. For a pail, I simply used a trash can with a tight-fitting lid and plastic bag liner. I'd rinse out the poopy ones, then toss them in with the others. No soaking; instead, I'd pre-wash them with borax, then wash once, rinse twice.  FWIW, I did use the disposables when the kids were newborns; the cloth diapers were just so big and bulky on those teeny little legs, and it helped me get through the first few bleary weeks.

    Re: Cloth diapering?

Call it a generational mistrust of "them" but...

The super absorbent part of the disposables was created and patented by Dow Chemical...the same folks who are responsible for "Agent Orange" and still they are still fighting to NOT pay out on lawsuits re: Vietnam War era veterans who suffered life long medical complication from their exposure to Agent Orange.  For decades, Dow Chemical maintained Agent Orange was safe...

And the sister company...Dow Corning...makers of those pesky leaking silicone "chest" implants...those were "safe" as well.

    Just a thought.

Dear Rolo, I did not know that Corningware is a Dow company.  I LOVE Corningware, because it is basically unbreakable.  Do you think that it is dangerous to eat off of?  especially when teh plate is hot from hot food?  What about Pyrex, which I think is from Corningware, too.  Am I being paranoid????  Do you have any reference materials from the web?  Thanks!

Thanks for letting me in on your system!  I love the soap idea and It's great to hear how you handled the laundry.  I'm going to print this off for reference.  Did you use liners.  Brandy mentioned the fleece liners and I cut up some polar fleece I had in material scraps.  I've also heard the Viva select-a-size paper towels make good flushable liners.  Did you use washable wipes or disposable ones?

    Thanks!

that was unintentionally funny  lol   washable wipes = a washcloth   Don't take it the wrong way, I think it's cute but funny.
