Cordless blind problems - don't buy these!!!

A couple of years ago I bought some black out shades - the cordless blind kind.  These are the kind of blinds that you are supposed to be able to pull up and down without strings.

They don't work.  Now, one side just hangs down!  Pretty soon it won't life up at all.  Does anyone have any ideas how to fix them or a work around?

What a waste of money that was.

    Thanks,

Hi ... Both info isites are free Big Smile The first link shows you how to fix cordless shades and the second site lists over 175+ 'fix it guides', including shades and all types of home repairs. Hope this can help.

In some instances, the lift tapes (white ribbons) in your cordless shade can become entangled. This problem can typically be solved by pulling the shade down completely. This will usually realign the tapes. Prevention Tip: Always lift your shade from the middle rather than the sides and do not lift too quickly as this creates slack in the ribbons.
