Every day is a celebration for someone. The seasons are cause enough to decorate. American flags are in the yard during the Olympics. I like door wreaths because they welcome.

A faux Christmas wreath came to me this year from someone who passed. I have been unable to part with it, yet I do not know how I will use it because I prefer wreaths with dried elements. It is August, but this week I rearranged my family room in preparation for Christmas, all the time questioning myself why so soon.  Oh, well, it is something to cross off the to-do list.

In summers past, I filled the house with flowers from my yard, but this year, my houseplants' greenery met an aesthetic need.

I move photos, candles, stones, assorted glass, China, pottery, books, and other mementos according to the time of year.

I spend most of the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons checking out what I want to buy once its on sale in January. If I don't get it because it sold out, then I just consider that it to be less stuff for me to keep up with!

It's neat, too, because I forget what I got last sale season, so when I open my Christmas decor boxes the next time, I have all this "new" stuff and it's a surprise what's inside! I really love it. Cool
