    Re: Brother Printer Ink

I had a Epson stylus 777 printer for 5-6 years...The ink for it at Walmart was like $26 a cartridge.....so I started buy my ink online for less then $10 a cartridge...I noticed the pkg of ink I got at Walmart and the ink I got online, was the vey same thing on the writing....same foreign language...so I just stuck with with the online ink...never had a problem...but no, I never had my cartidges refilled....

I know you can buy a printer for $30-40, and then the ink costs over  $75 ...If it was me, Ii'd just buy another printer for that $30-40 and when the ink ran out, do it again...its ridiculous the way they rob us with the price of ink....

Using the extra cheap paper will ruin a printer as well. I learned that with an expensive printer several years ago. I am self employed and I like to print out flyers for my monthly specials for my customers so about a year ago, I invested in an unexpensive color laser printer. I paid $499 for the printer. The cartridges that came with it stated that they would last for 2,500 pages. The replacement cartridges on the other hand, will print 5,000 pages but if I have to buy all 4 colors at one time, the cost will be just a shade over $500. Luckily so far, I have only had to replace the colors one at a time.

www.123inkjets.com  was one of them...another I think was Printpal..(can't remember the actual web site name)...I would just look for the cheapest ink, and that's who I would order from...free shipping was a big plus for me also...

    http://www.printpal.com/printer/epson/stylus_color_777.html

there is the other website.that I used...

from what i am reading, I guess I abused that printer something terrible...cause you know this junk mail you get on stuff...If the back side was blank I used that...but I don't have a business...mine was strictly for letter writing to folk, that type of thing...I guess if Ihad a business, I would of been more fussy....or sending them pictures of something I had bilt...The only reason, I no longer have it is, some lovely child, dumped a coke down in it...that was all she wrote for it...so I found myself a used laser printer, at a bargain...and from what I've read the drum costs about $25 for ink...it only prints in black, but  that's fine  with me...

A friend had told me that doing a refill on the cartridge that the ink dries out and causes problems...he was doing his own refilling...however, from what I am reading...seems these cartridges I was buying we refills, reconditioned etc etc...so I don't know if that's true or not...

and if you personally know someone in the business that does it...I would think that might be fine...just myopinion of course....

    Re: Brother Printer Ink

I've used Chinese replacements from LD Cartridge on a bottom-of-the-line Epson and had no problems.  I've purchased a chip resetter from Printer Filling Station and when the cartridges are about half gone, I intend to start refilling.  PC World has a good article on OEM, replacement, and refilled cartridges.  They claim Walgreen ink fades, but heck, are you planning to keep the letters into 2100? I used 123 replacements for my old HP printer and it worked fine--I'd still be using it but it had a software conflict with, so help me, Internet Explorer and I had to send it off to the Salvation Army with instructions to only use it on older computers.
