A silly "DUH" story on myself:
I needed new pillow cases, mine were down to threadbare and stains. So I looked at Wal-mart for 100% cases, preferably king-size. They were $14.00 for two cases!!. I didn't buy them, figuring I'd wait for a sale.
But what do I have stored in tubs all over my house? Tons of fabric - all 100% cotton, beautiful prints, for quilting and applique.
What is one of my hobbies? - refurbishing old sewing machines. I currently have 16, some working, some not. Electric, treadle and hand crank. Some straight stitchers, some zigzagggers, some multiple stitch plastic machines. I have a choice of which to use.
So why did it take me till now to realize I could just sew my own? DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Edey.
Officially Recognized Stretchpert in Hobbies and Crafts Edey's Vintage and Current Needlework BlogLife is like a quilt - it is made beautiful from all the little pieces stitched together.
