I know that Walgreens and Rite Aid have similar programs but I am a huge CVS fan and prefer their Extra Care Bucks! You don't have to worry about rebates or anythign like that... you just have to clip coupons for just about every toiletry our household item you can find (because you never know what you'll get free) and you have to remember ot use your Extra Care Bucks before they expire.

So, how much do I save? Well, I have enough toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deoderant, razors, shower gel, medicine, etc. to last a year and got most of it for FREE.

It's kind of a pain at times. You have to keep up with it. I go in spurts... .like right now I am well stocked up (on the items listed above) so I haven't been messing with it too much. But being due (baby) in JAnuary, probably around the holiday time I will pick it up again and restock my supply.

    God bless,

    Julie

I shop CVS - mostly for toiletries, paper products, cleaning products and diapers.    I do pretty well if I have a decent supply of coupons ( I don't subscribe to the paper on Sunday but usually pick it up).   On a good week I can usually spend around $25 and get over $50 dollars in products.   I learned early on to not just buy things because they were cheap - I ended up with wayyyy to many products that I didn't use.    But being able to donate some of those things is nice too.

I have saved a small fortune at CVS.  I tried using Walgreens, but they were always sending me letters saying I did not meet the criteria for the rebate.  I always made sure I did before I payed at the register and yet the letters kept coming.  Many times they would send me their Walgreen card, but it rarely ever matched the rebate amount that was promised, which means I spent money and got nothing back.  That does not happen at CVS.  If you watch your sales and coupons you can walk away with a lot of product and not have spent your childs college fund.

This is really a new area for me; I had no idea people got their stuff so cheap or free.  So each week I've been going through the WalGreens ad and then looking at my coupons to see where I'm at on certain items.

On some things I feel stuck.  I am limited on space (apartment), but b/c there's only 3 of us (1 kid, 2 adults) we don't seem to go through things as quickly.  DH will cut himself and I'll go looking for the neosporin and find that it expired well over a year ago.  I'll still use it and I'll make a note to pick up a new one next time I'm out.  Two packages of kid band-aids that I got when DD wasn't even 2 almost fall apart when you open them b/c they are over 2 years old.  A 12 pack of Scott toilet paper lasts us well over 3 months, almost 4.

I'm trying to keep my focus on things I know we'll need soon (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, etc.) or things I can donate to my daughter's preschool (hand sanitizer, tissues, clorox wipes, baby wipes, etc.).

Putting the ODD in goddess every day!

I just got into couponing a few months ago and the amount I'm saving is surprising -- and I considered myself a VERY frugal shopper to start with.

I shop Rite-Aid. I should look at the Rebates more than I do. I got into the habit of entering all my receipts online so that I didn't lose them. One week I bought Visine and I had a coupon for it. I entered the receipt and I got a check back for that purchase. That meant that I paid under $1 for the Visine.

I always take my coupon file with me. I try to combine coupons with Rebates.

I started shopping at CVS about 2 months ago and I am amazed at how much I have saved.  I used to spend about $125 per week at Wal-mart for groceries and paper products.  Since I started shopping at CVS, I get almost all of my toiletries, diapers, etc. for free.  When I actually "spend" money, I use a gift card that I received for transferring a prescription.  My grocery bill has dropped dramatically because now "groceries" is only food.  This month, I set a goal to spend $100 or less on food for the month (for four people) and I am making it!  You can get stuff for free at CVS without coupons, but if you have coupons you can get free toiletries and "spend" the value of the coupons on other things.  I have been posting pictures of my shopping trips on a blog and also have some wonderful links to other blogs that will give you some great tips on drugstore shopping.  Happy saving!

Actually, when we lived in the US (SE Michigan), I didn't find the prices great at CVS and I never seemed to buy the rights things to take advantage of the program.  When we moved from the apartment to the house, there wasn't a CVS nearby.  Instead, I trolled the discount aisles at Target and picked up all sorts of toiletries at good discounts (and they took coupons too); and we shopped a lot also at Big Lots, where I could easily get from a quarter to a half of our groceries for much less.    But, good for  you all who do take advantage!

I save and even make money with coupons and rebates.  At Walgreens and Rite Aid they offer something free with a rebate at least once a month and if I have a coupon for what is being offered free I make money.  Walgreens also will add 10% to their monthly rebate if you opt to receive your rebate in the form of a Walgreens gift card.  I recycle this gift card the following month and purchase the next months rebate items.  I keep my family, which includes two married sons with children, supplied with toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.  My granddaughter loves to shop in my basement.  I also match my coupons with whatever CVS is offering bonus rewards for.
