Salmolux Inc. is recalling 6,140 units of its Wild Alaskan Smoked
Salmon Nova Lox, sold in 3-ounce packages, because it might be
contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The organism can cause
serious and sometimes fatal infections. No illnesses have been
reported, according to the company based in Federal Way, Wash. The
recalled product was distributed in Arizona, California, and Nevada
through Vons retail outlets and distributed in Delaware, Florida,
Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, West
Virginia, and Virginia through Food Lion retail outlets. The product is
