Looking for a Recipe For Homemade Ranch Dressing

I am going to make my own pasta salads instead of using a boxed mix. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for Ranch Dressing? I have mayo and buttermilk.

I did cheat and I bought a box of Ranch Dressing mix so that I could make the salad before I found a dressing recipe.

    Many thanks.

Here's two very easy ones that I've used on pasta salads - the first is the creamy variety and is just 1 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing mixed with 1/2 bottled Italian dressing.  The second one is the sweet, non-creamy variety - I actually like it better.  It permeates the pasta and vegetable and keeps for days.  It's just equal amounts of sugar, vinegar and oil, with salt, pepper and celery seed added to taste.

I have some long and involved dressing recipes, but these simplest ones taste the best to me.  There's another thread about ranch dressing where I posted a basic recipe for ranch dressing, but I like these best for pasta salads...Liz
