You are so funny today. I have to stretch money now. Yesterday I had to buy 2 new tires and get an alignment for my car. $224.00 later that wasnt budgeted AND I had to takeyesterday off from work. But I had taken the car to a friend of ours who runs an autobody shop.I had thought it was maybe a tierod or something but a tire was worn to the point of the steel belts coming through. He said dont drive it unless its to get tires or else he would be picking me up in the tow truck.

So today I am cleaning, doing laundry on cold hanging it up in the basement to dry. I am also putting a roast in the crockpot for dinner. I have both chili and spaghetti leftovers for lunch. I do have to take dh to the base to drop off paperwork but thats it for me.

I ended up staying home yesterday (I'm off for a few days paid vacation) and collected up even more errands for a trip into town.  So I didn't spend a dime except to pay some utility bills.

I planted more in our garden.  Its hot and humid here in Canada.  We have the same weather where I am as mid-west Michigan does.

Yesterday I planted beans and dill pickles.  Today I'll find a spot for to plant some regular cucumber seeds and pick up 4 pack of cherry tomatoe plants.  My husband wants some annuals too.

I'll be getting a few groceries at a chain we have here in Canada called Giant Tiger.  They're trying to win folks back from Walmart one neighbourhood at a time, and they have my vote.   Great pricing, great sales and small stores easy to get and out of.

Library books are due, and they'll be on my errand list.  I map it out starting with the furtherest location and double back home.

Putting chicken in the crockpot for supper. We're under the threat of bad storms again later today. I'm trying to not cook any more than I have to with no air, high humidity and highs in the 90's.

Staying home today to do laundry.  I didn't say anything yet about my good deal I got a Lowe's Wednesday night. I wanted some heavier drapes for my living room and they had their drapery line on clearnace. Now, I am not a red person by any means, but most of my house is in lighter green and tan. So, I bought some red velvet drapes, they were out of the chocolate brown drapes, and I put up one pair so far. Oh, I forgot to tell you the most important part. The drapes are normally $19.99 for ONE panel. They were marked down to $4.99 each. I bought 8 panels. The total would have been $160.00, but I only paid $40 because they were on clearance.

Dear Kabin, What a great buy!  And kudos to you for changing your decor colors, for getting the new red drapes.  If you sew, & if you don't actually need all of the drapes, you could use one for making accent pillows, which owould help pull the colors in the rooms otgether ....  Yours in Him, Deb

Dear All, Perhaps 40 miles away, there were a couple of quite small earthquakes last night -- I slept right through them, so you can tell how slight they were ....

I'll be returning to Whole Foods today to see whether they have gotten the non-instant dried milk in yet ....  That will come out of Food Stamps.  I have no plans to spend any cash today ....

TOday, I plan to finally be good & put my oldest cans in the front, in my main food cabinet & in a secondary one, AND under my bed ....  I've been taking everything else out each time I want to retrieve something, hardly a productive way of doing things ....

May all  my sister & fellow Forumites have a wonderful day!  Yours in Him, Deb

still early here so plans are not all confirmed.   sports day was cancelled due to rain. lots of it.  turned the heat back on yesterday because of the cold.

since I am not working today and no sports day. probably will take ds to a free playgroup in the morning after dropping dd off. may met a friend there. need to finish folding and putting away laundry that has been sitting around.    all meals should be at home. dh is going out with friends tonight so no real cooking here. make eggs or something.    Yam jam on tonight (teenage bands in the park) in the local park so our student going there.  Art in the park follows tomorrow for kids.

Ocean's thirteen is the new movie tonight on movie central but not into those ones.  Friend may come over to finish accounting tonight.

lazy day which we will see what happens.  maybe cleanup more (my ongoing declutter/reorg project) and bake.

First day of summer vacation . . .  both kids were up before 6am!  What is that about?!  They also starting fighting over toys by 6:45 . . . not a great start!!

Have some errands to run this morning and working on cleaning up the house this afternoon.  My guest room seems to become a dumping ground for stuff that needs to be organized, put away, taken somewhere etc.  Guest are coming next weekend so need to get it cleared up-by end of the weekend, I want it to be done.

Need to get a few groceries today.  Veggie burgers, fries, salad and fruit for dinner tonight.

    Have a great day all!

Last day of school for the last two- and a half day. I have a school board mtg and luncheon at 1:30- free good food for me- and than a business mtg with my travel business from 6-9.    Thinking of getting a free Redbox for after, maybe Juno.  Stormy again today, I was a little afraid to sleep last night due to  tornado watches.

Lots of thinking about the possible move, dh accepted the job, thinking about putting this house on the market and the timing.  Dh has 16 weeks of training starting 7/14.  We will have the same income but need to rent a room or hotel for him for 4 months.  When the job is for sure we would move.  When to put this place on the market is the  issue of the day.

    Have a good Friday-
