I recently got back from a trip on grehound, and I can tell you The Dollar Trees I shopped at everytime we stopped had no frozen food section, and I asked. The owner said they don't have frozen food just ice cream treats. You are confusing Dollar Tree with Dollar General. Just trying to clear things up. LOL you had me crackin up laughing when I heard Dollar Tree had frozen food. I even checked out there website. No frozen food just ice cream.Smile

In my Dollar Tree, they do have some frozen stuff including food and ice cream treats. I think every one is a bit different. (I'm not sure, but they might be franchises) In any case, where I am, Greater Atlanta area, Dollar General is a joke - I never go there. The prices there are a good bit higher than most other places.

Dollar Trees in GA have a frozen foods area, as probably do other states. Veggies are from Mexico. I wouldn't buy frozen foods there.

No, I am quite certain I don't have the stores confused. It's the Dollar Tree where everything is $1. They have a cold foods section with burritos, small containers of ice cream and margarine and other individual sized or small packages of cold goods. I had not seen a Dollar Tree carry these items until we moved here.

Some have said their Dollar Trees carry produce and bread but the one near me does not.

I found some articles on the Dollar Tree carrying cold foods:  The Addition of Cold Food Paying Off

    Now this is odd..

"In just a few stores, though, Dollar Tree can sell wine. It has a license to do so at one store in Hampton Roads, at 1105 S. Military Hwy. in Chesapeake, and at a few dozen stores in California, Sasser said. Customers won't always find wine on the shelves, only when Dollar Tree can price it for $1."

I have to agree the wine bit is odd....  The cheapest I've ever heard of wine is the Two Buck Chuck line at Trader Joe's and even that is over $3 now.  I'm not a wine snob by any means -- my favorite runs about $6 a bottle -- but I'd wonder about the longevity of the wine.  Some wines are meant to be table wines and consumed relatively soon after purchasing so you get the flavor while it's best; they're not meant to hold onto for months or years.  And while I've had good luck with some food items at the dollar tree, I'm not sure I'm adventurous enough to buy wine from any dollar store.

I want to appologize you are right. The Dollar Tree does have burritoes saw it there today when I went there. I am sorry I laughed out loud. I didn't mean to offend you. I love the dollar tree. I am decorating a bedroom cove for my nephew whom I am talking custody of due to him being abused. The Dollar Tree has tons of stuff for his cove/former dining area. It is without a doubt my Disney World, and Disneyland all wrapped up into one. That is how much fun I have there. (without the rides)

If he is young, he will likely love a Disney theme. The Dollar Tree is a great place for neat items for room decoration. I have gotten quite a few pieces for my daughter's princess and floral room.

Kudos to you. Have fun in the bedroom cove (IDisney World). Best of wishes.

Re: I Rediscovered The Dollar Tree

I'll be making use of The Dollar Tree again today. My kids are off on a summer trip with my in-laws. I found sunscreen and aloe vera gel there. Walgreens had the same size tubes for $2.50 while I paid $1. I also found floaties and sunglasses for my youngest.

Now I need more juice boxes, individual shelf stable milk boxes so they have drinks. I have indvidual boxes of raisins, bags of dried fruit and some cookies. I still need more snacks and something for them to eat for breakfast without cooking.
