Re: I Rediscovered The Dollar Tree

I love that I can take my 2 girls in there give them each $2 and they walk out with something that they think is special because they bought it. They can barely buy a snack at the grocery store anymore with $2.

I love Dollar Tree, too. Last time I was there they had the nicest yarn for a buck.  Wouldve probaly been 5.00 anywhere else.  I love how you never know What you might find there!

I love the dollar tree for making gift bags for friends. We always pick up snacks while we're there. My favorite purchase there are shower liners. They are hard to find at our store, so when I do find them, I stock up on them. You can't beat a shower liner for a buck. The nicest deal I found a while back were some very nice reading lights. I bought several of those to add to gift bags throughout the year. I bought a couple for myself and my daughter, too and we love them. You can't beat the prices there! Smile

My Dollar Tree carries food that is canned and frozen. My cleaning woman says I need to check it out. Maybe I'll go on Black Friday.

I have to be careful going into Dollar Tree for that very reason.  I have a tough time passing up YARN - especially for $1.  Granted, a lot of what they carry is fun-fur type stuff, and I try to be careful to get only those that can be machine washed, but I've gotten some good bargains in the past.

I went in to Dollar Tree today just to browse a bit and to see what gardening things they had on offer. I didn't expect to find the Nature's Own bread that costs $2.20 at the commissary there! One dollar for a loaf of Nature's Own bread!! I almost did a cartwheel in the aisle! LOL

Got some other good deals too--a hardcover copy of  "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell," a book I've been wanting to read; toothbrushes; a plastic liner for a window box, some seed packets...I came out with three bags full of stuff, all of which I needed or was otherwise useful, and spent less than ten dollars. Smile
