    Small Victories are WONDERFUL!

We have been in a battle since November with 2 credit card companies to get interest rates lowered.  One of them wouldn't even talk to us about it--just kept saying "an automatic review would be scheduled in May".  We noticed on our bill this month that the rate had gone down 6% plus--and it isn't even May!

On the second card, DH has been calling them every other week since November.  They would drop it half a point or refuse entirely.  He got hold of a good CSR this week and she dropped it 3%--not a lot but 3% at once!

So small victories but victories none-the-less!

And I got the cell phone plan changed to save $40 a month (of course the house payment went up $40).

wow I think that's a huge victory. You set a great example, keep pushing for what you need/want/deserve and let the good stuff flow your way. Cool

That's a very big deal to get the credit card companies to give in!! Big Smile That's great!

My mortgage payment went up too...it's the time of year for escrow review. They always offer a lower payment if I pay part of the shortage, which I always do. But why won't they let me pay ALL of the shortage and keep the same payment? Ours went up $11.76 a month after i paid part of the shortage.
