We knew we were going to have to finance a truck this year for my husband for work unless a miracle falls where the company he works for goes employee basis and issues work trucks.
We planned to pay it off next month and save a down payment to replace it in June or July. I am not sure the truck will make it to next month. Send it good vibes to last till late spring where we can better afford to tackle this issue.

Talk to the truck nicely and maybe it will treat you well.
My dad used to call his truck Betsey and always talked to it nice to get it to go up a hill, or stop sputtering, just to get it home so he could work on it. Edey
Good idea Edey!
We have been waiting for the company to demand he replace it and we hope that drags out too so we can get past pay off and saving a bit.
My husband left for work in the truck this morning. So far so good, eh?
Dear Brandy, I hope & pray that the truck will last so well that you can actually use it as a trade-in or at least cannibalize it for parts, when you can afford to buy a replacement .... Yorus in Him, Deb

We were hoping we could use as a trade or sell it or something. He puts so many miles on a vehicle though that he really wears them out. He has been buying older ones and they aren't lasting.
The truck is still going and we are still pushing for pay off by the end of this month. Then he plans to drive it as long as he can before financing it's replacement.
The Dollar Stretcher has an article on buying a used truck if anyone else is having to consider this issue.
