lala:i talked with my dh and he told me to write a check to my orthodontist. i have to get a final payoff from them. he's having a bad day at work and he said it was a good piece of news.
he's wary of paying off my student loan because we may not have enough money for our vacation and to pay off other bills. he can be quite a worrier when it comes to money. we'll have to discuss it over the weekend and do it on paper to see what we have.
This is simply a matter of deciding priorities.
Is taking a vacation more important than honoring prior contractual obligations?
If you pay off your student loan that monkey is off your back forever and you'll save money in the long term because you won't be paying further interest on it.
The goal should be zero debt. That makes life so much easier because you don't have to make those kinds of decisions. Just my opinion.
