I have been trying to find alternatives to chocolate candies for my family that don't contain soy or additives.
The following recipe is for a very rich tasting creamy chocolate mousse-like dessert.
Creamy Chocolate Mousse
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons powdered cocoa
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla flavoring
On medium heat, melt butter, sugar and cocoa powder together, stirring till combined and liquid consistency.
Add heavy cream and whisk or stir in pan over medium heat until just before mixture comes to a boil.
Stir in vanilla flavoring.
Pour mixture into another container and let cool before covering and placing it in the refrigerator.
Refrigerate overnight for best results.
Makes 4 small servings.
