What is on the menu for New Year's day?

 

Nothing really planned yet, but am leaning towards appetizers and finger foods.

Nothing special so far. A lot of the kids will have to work so no big family meal. DH and I may go some where on New Years day. Im not working . A pot of beans if he and I are home alone, Babs

 Traditional New Year's meal inthis area is black-eyed peas with ham-hock or jowl and bar-b-qued coon.

Can I come to your house for new years?  but you have to have cornbread and some type of canned fruit too.

 Naw, pear pie from 2011 home canned pears.  Drought got this year's.

OK , whos catching the coon? We have way to many at my house. I will happily donate one to the meal. Babs

Probably roast pork and sauerkraut, with mashed potatoes on the side. Sometimes we do a Filipino theme, with pancit and lumpia, but they're both kind of labour-intensive dishes and DH doesn't want to bother, so we'll do the Pennsylvania Dutch theme again this year.

too funny.  Now you know I don't do less than three at a time.  Right now they are going for $7 each if you have to buy them.  Do I dare ask if you want directions?
