    Overflow of apples!

Last night at bible study I was blessed with a Trader joes's paper bag FULL of baking apples. Already making some applesauce, just made a super unhealthy and delicious apple crisp, any other ideas? I have about a stockpot full left of 'em. Also, have you been the lucky recipient of anyone's garden overflow?

Everytime I visit my parents I come home with an overabundance of fruit depending what is ripe at the time. I come home with pomegranites, lemons, limes, apples, oranges and tangerines. We also share garden produce with each other when one of us is over loaded. Although this year neither of our gardens is doing any good.

YES!!! Ideas to can ... apple pie filling, apple butter (crock pot -- super easy!), spiced apples, apple jelly, apple cakes, cookies, bars (excellent for freezing), chutneys ... that's off the top of my head. Do a google search for recipes. Cooks.com and allrecipes.com have really good recipes. Happy Apple-ling!
