It's no secret that I am a single with grown children. Many of my friends are married with children still at home. They're in a busy time of their lives and don't have as much solitary time as I do. Plus, I live in an apartment building and that is a lot different from living in your own house.
One thing I miss is not having a place to BBQ. There is a small park nearby, however, where anyone can use the outdoor grills and so, one morning in October I did! 
The catalpa tree looked like white washed bones in the clear October morning sun.
I had my box of supplies, including a cup of coffee and a good book to read.
It didn't take long for the coals to get nice and hot.
I had the park all to myself. If you don't count the park staff riding around on their mowers, shredding fallen leaves.
The chicken was wonderful!
I can't wait until the park opens at the end of April and they set up the grills again.
