    Re: Garden Planning

I have seeds for the Morgage LIfter than I bought on clearance last year. One tomato that I had good luck with two years ago was Zeke Deakman. I got the seeds from Heirloom Beans in Berea Ky.  If you Google it , you will find the story behind this tomato. They were huge. The plants were more than 6 feet tall. The only problem with them here is that my growing season is short so they were a late tomato for me. That wouldnt be a problem for you. DH loved them

My other favorite is Purple Cherokee. Babs

I ordered more blueberry & blackberry plants this week, along with a dwarf peach tree & another dwarf apple tree. Also ordered a Nova elderberry plant, sinceI had one growing up & miss it.  Gardeners supply had fiberglass hoops for supporting bird netting on sale, so I ordered a set of those for the strawberry bed this year.  Maybe I will get more berries than the birds!

NEWS: The Dept of Agriculture has changed its zone maps. Radically. We're still 7 but barely. The county immediately to the south is 8. Might want to check this out.
