We have discussed Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, what are you having for your New Year celebrations?

left overs Im afraid I don't celebrate it have to work.

I usually do ham but this year, we have a little different menu:

Turkey with gravy
Mashed potatoes
Black eye peas
Rolls
Salad
Cranberry sauce
Pie

 

Last year's menu worked well, so we're repeating it. I put pizza dough in my bread machine and set out all the makings for everybody to make their own individual pizzas.  It was really handy with everyone coming and going at different times...Liz.

 Us hillbillies gots us a tradition of black-eyed peas.  Ain't gonna have no money in the new year if ya don't eat them peas!  Ya' also wants ta' fix a coon.  Best if ya add bar-b-que sauce on the last cookin' and served on a samwich.  Good eats and that'll get ya' some fetchens!

Cole slaw

Lime jello salad

Chicken and dumplings

cornbread

biscuits

peach cobbler

and...hog jowls fried and used for seasoning as well as to eat

Here hog jowls , turnip greens and black eyed peas is tradition ...the rest of the menu I threw  in for those who don`t eat the traditional ! lol
