Will kale survive a deep frost?

Does anyone know how cold a frost kale will tolerate?

I have read that it can be almost frozen and survive.  It is one of those vegetables that can be left in the ground right through to spring.  if you Google it, there should be more info available.  Sally.

Thanks, Sallybabe, that's good news I have gotten Brussel sprouts from underneath the snow. I did Google it, but didn't find anything so far about the really cold weather.

Sissry, this is Zone 4, which gets really cold in winter. This winter is supposed to be a severe one. I wish I were in a warmer zone, and I would try to move except for my cats.
