    Homemade Energy Drinks

Mary Ann is looking for better solutions. Can you help her?

Energy drinks such as Red Bull and 5 Hour Energy are expensive. Do you know of anything that can be made at home with average not exotic ingredients that accomplish the same boost?

I don't drink them but aren't they just mega caffeine and sugar?  I stay from things like that..can't think they are healthy to consume regularly.   a dble shot of epresso would work lol.

dd#1 tells me that one of the energy drinks some of her male friends like to drink has bull testosterone as the main ingrediant.  We don't use the energy drinks other than a  double shot of espresso once in a while.  lol

I agree but want to add healty and safe choices, less chemicals in the diet and in personal or household products and excercise.

I found some recipes for those times when a boost really is needed, except for the first being sugar packed, these don't have the chemicals and body wrecking ingredients. Some are natural and healthy.

    Cocoa Energy

    Fruit Energy Drink

    Homemade drinks

My cardiologist gave me a list of items I should avoid with my heart condition and energy drinks are number one on that list. He refers to them as a toxin.

I think the commercial ones are sugar, caffiene and chemicals.

Some of the recipes I share use foods that are healthy and natural energy boosters. This may be what the reader was looking for.

brandy,   I really like the fruit one but the cocoa one sounds good too!  That would fill dd#1 chocolate addiction.   lol  I would change it up by using raw honey for the sweetener rather than sugar.

let's hope mary ann writes back in again to comment on our comments!  I would love to know what she decides.
