A reader seeks a solution for freshening the smell in her home. Can you help with your favorite solutions?

 Will one of your clever readers tell me (all of us) how to make Febreze at home? There must be a very simple recipe for this fabric and upholstery freshener. Thanks so much!

 1/4 c fabric softener in a large spray bottle (16 oz or so) of water, shake spray

same as above but using vinegar

 If you have "leaky" kids or pets, use Totally Toddler as above (may need to increase T.T. depending upon smell) -- this is my second fav - I love the scent

 spray bottle of water with a few drops of tea tree (my fav) or other scented oil - do use caution on some fabrics, test in hidden are first -- I've personally never had a problem
