crock pot baked apples

    crock pot baked apples

     Crockpot baked apple  

    6 meduim apples , cored and peeled

    1/2 cup sugar

    2 tablesppons  raisins

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    1/2 cup of Water .

    mix sugar , raisind and cinnamon

    stuff apples with sugar mixture and dot them with butter .

    pour water into the crockpot add the apples cook on low for 7 to 8 hours

    you can use Maple syrup can be used in place of sugar and cinnamon.

    What is the best type of apple to bake?  (usually anything free LOL) But if I were to buy some at the farm market just for this what are some of the best types for baking?

     

    I am having pork roast with potatoes and squash for dinner and baked apples sound good!
