Dress nice like sunday best nice not like the party type nice or beach nice, and have resume ready and last look on the web for interview tips they got some good ones like www.yahoojoblinks.com maybe it gives better tips then I am I have been out of the job world for 12 years my skills at this is very rusty but top the list just dress nice.

Dress nicely; wear stockings to an interview even in hot weather (females only). It sounds corny, but wearing stockings makes a good impression to an interviewer.

Be very polite. Don't smoke. Don't chew gum. Don't show up with crazy colored hair or jewelry.

don't expect the world owes you ...work hard to make a good impression.  be on time.

Act like you have good sense. Don't fidget, do look at the interviewer, don't drum your fingers or tap your toes. Smile; be friendly but not familiar. Show a willingness to answer all questions.

Jobs are tough to come by theses days.  My co-worker's daughter got very creative last summer and designed a cute flyer that she distributed throughout her neighborhood.  She introduced herself and gave some background (nursing student, current college) and went on to describe all she was willing to do: baby-sit, dog-sit, walk dogs,  house sit, clean houses, yard work, cook, etc.

She was in demand for the rest of the summer.

Very interesting article.  Yet, in reality, this is 2010 and we have progressed to this point and there doesn't seem to be any turning back.  It's our brave new world.

Those individuals that give back to the community first (which seems to be warranted today) are the ones who will be employed (for pay) in the future.  What does this mean?  A person needs experience on their resume and if there are no jobs, no experience.  This person should do volunteer work and build their resume from all charity work they accomplish.  Then they will be able to compete (most times UNsuccessfully) with all the people who have lost their jobs through the economy.  It won't ever be easy again. 

After college graduation?  There's always the military.

 

 Arrive on time. Keep the cell phone turned off. Don't forget to shake hands and say thank you.

1.  Leave the moods and additude outside

2.  dress nice no green hair or fishnet stockings with spike heels

3.  go online to get addvice on interviews

4.  have resum. ready and up to date

5.  don't let them see how nervouse and scared you are and never let them see you sweat that one was a killer for me

Dress to impress. Do not dress in the trend of the day. Dress like you want the job. Guys wear nice slacks or chino type pants. A nice unwrinkled shirt, and nice shoes. Ladies, wear nice slacks, skirt or dress, and shoes. And a nice blouse. Be well groomed. Style your hair attractively. Girls, don't over do the makeup or perfume. Make sure your nails look nice. Have your teeth freshly brushed and your breath minty fresh.

Do not go in with a hurd of your friends and ask for an application. Go alone, and act mature. Speak up, smile and give a firm handshake. You only get one chance to make a first impression. If you have piercings beyond your ears, think about if you really want to wear them. While the attitude of the day is "People need to accept me for who I am, not by what I look like" is  nice thought but unfortunitely people do judge. Keep the personal statements for your private time, or until you land the job and have figured out the way things work, and what is expected. Be upbeat and positive. Realize that YOU need the job, but the employer has choices nowdays and he/she can pick and choose. Realize that any job is a good job if it is honest, legal and you do your best. Understand that you are not going to be made CEO at 17 or 18 with no experience, that generally take a college education and experience. There are jobs out there..fast food is always hiring...look at retail establishement as well. Even part time is better than no time.

Go prepared with a resume' and references. DO NOT USE your buddy, or girlfriend as a reference. Use teachers, neighbors, people you have babysat or mowed lawn for, or you have watched their house while they were away...etc.
