E.L.F is a great site for makeup.  It has been featured in fashion magazines. Everything is $1  http://www.eyeslipsface.com/

Just a warning--my understanding is that ELF is not good with filling orders at all and that a lot of people have been stuck not getting their makeup, and then customer service doesn't take their calls. Maybe they have a different situation for filling Canadian orders or maybe they've gotten better, but I'd check out epinions or something on that one.

I was at Dollar Tree yesterday and the one in my area had a lot of AZIZA makeup, which is one that I used in high school and when I was a twenty something. It worked fine for me then with no problems. I don't know how it is now, but for a $ a person can hardly go wrong. They also had in some more nice dish towels, and they had a couple of good books that can be used for Christmas gifts. One is the book by Brooke Shields about her experience with PPD.

They are getting in more and more Christmas stuff all the time and they have REALLY pretty holiday bags in right now. If a person needs those they will have to move quickly.

I have never bought from elf yet because I don't use much makeup plus the extras cost of shipping over the border.  I know they have been featured in glamour etc. I remember Aziza makeup from my teens and 20's. Loved their eyeshadows!

according to the elf website, some kmart stores and a few dollar outlets have elf makeup. Might try it there before ordering from the website.

My only concern with the elf makeup is that it doesn't say how big the products are. It seems that for a dollar, you may only be getting travel-size selections instead of standard-size products.

When it comes to cosmetics, I really like to see what I am buying so while the prices of ELF are appealing, I am not sure that I will be a customer in future.

I've purchased from elf, so I'll share - the quality is about as good as what we used to call "dime store makeup" - not quite as good as, say, maybelline, but not bad either.  The sizes are definitely not sample sizes; again, they're not quite as large as Maybelline or Cover Girl, but you do get a good amount of product.  The real bargain is the brushes - I ordered two, and they're very good quality - not just good quality for a dollar, but good quality, period.  I would be willing to purchase those again.

The order took a bit longer than most online vendors, say, a couple of weeks to get to me.

     HTH!

There are a lot of different makeup items at Dollar Tree.  We carry Maybelline, some Cover Girl, Revlon, and asst'd other stuff.  We have even had Loreal mascara, it all depends what the Home Office buyer can get in bulk.

aj, welcome to the board!  So you work for DT?  Dd loves to go there (well, me too, actually!) and will be impressed that I'm talking with someone that knows the ropes there.  I still haven't managed to get in there since I began this thread and I really need to go.  I figured they had to get either old stock or discontinued packaging items, etc.  Perfectly good stuff and such a price!  Thanks for that info..

KMart is running a 25% off sale on Cover Girl foundation, plus there's coupons floating around for buy a foundation from CG and get a free powder or blush - so I may take advantage of that for the time being.  Gotta do something - I'm too old to run around naked-faced and my bottle's nearly empty...Liz Embarrassed

I also like Aziza eye shadows and powdered blush.

I was My Familys Interest before the site change and I couldn't log in again so created a new one.

I found Aziza eye shadows and blush at dollarama.  Funny used it in the 80's and all the 80's colours are back...purples, teals etc.
